'Toyshop Murders ' was conceived during the early 90's. I'd teamed up with my writing partner, John Giles mid 80's. A very clever minded songwriter John is, has a way with words and melody. He was on always on my wavelength.
We'd previously been writing for around 7 years or so and as our love of prog rock was trying to escape into our general songwriting, we decided to dedicate compositions to the project and give it a name.
Why the name Toyshop Murders? I am not entirely sure to be honest, but everyone has to have a name that attracts attention. What this conjures up, who knows!
For John and I, we've gone about our daily chores as musicians/songwriters and when there is a lull in the work...then you tend to want to stop the merry-go-round and get off..in order to rest.
